  • By the way, what episode is this from?

  • From 2648.

  • When I first saw this skit when I was very young, I thought the person who did the voiceover in the background said at 0:09 "Most Fenders" instead of "Long Suspenders."

  • He said "Long Suspenders."

  • Yes, exactly, very Charlie Chaplin-ish!

  • I found two more Charlie Chaplin skits

    Episode 2675

    Episode 2040split2

  • Another Sesame Street Charlie Chaplin skit that I remember was when he's in front of a portrait of a women who changes poses when he looks away and notices it when he looks back up at the portrait. Then after a few changes, she sneezes and ends up in a different painting, then he joins her. Anyone else remember that one?

  • i would Contact the Studio

  • yes I remember that one....good choice

  • Does anyone have another Charlie Chaplin skit that took place in this same room that involved Charlie Chaplin trying to throw a newspaper in a wastebasket where it kept disappearing and reappearing in a different spot and when he/she finally got it in the wastebasket, he/she tried to exit but the door disappeared and reappeared in a different spot in the room, so then Maria/Charlie Chaplin then just crashed through the wall to exit? If anyone has this skit, could you please post it?

  • Maria dressed as Charlie Chapman, I get it now, I somehow figured that it was her. I always thought she looked sexy within those fast motion skits. I managed to videotape those skits when it rarely aired during the show in the 1990's.

  • Exactly?

Where's the part where she crashed through the wall?

Was it too scary for youngsters?

If I were you, I would check you vid's twice before uploading.

  • It's so interesting to know after all these years that Maria was the one who did those Charlie Chaplin skits on Sesame Street.

  • Oh, now I see. Thanks.
