In this episode of the Jack Benny Program, originally aired February 11, 1962, Jack and guest star Gisele Mackenzie take a shortcut while driving from Phoenix to L.A., get lost, and stop in a diner in a ghost town for directions. The cafe owner tells Jack a story about bad guy Tombstone Harry and the Cactus Kid, who have a gunfight over saloon singer Tess Mackenzie. Tess/Gisele sings "Buttons in a Bowl" for the cowboys. The Cactus Kid's gun, unfortunately, doesn't shoot straight.

The episode is a partial remake of one aired November 2, 1952, titled "Buck Benny Rides Again," in which Dinah Shore was the saloon singer and "Buck" actually did show up at the rodeo. The other guest stars on the 1952 episode were James Flavin and Hank Mann.

Thanks for watching!
