Here I talk about some of the differences and similarities between borderline personality disorder, and bipolar disorder. Both are characterized by mood swings, but there are many things that separate them, and a few things they have in common!

Please note that I do the best research I can to provide you with factual and helpful information, but I am NOT a medical professional, and my views should not be substituted for those of your doctor. Please do not diagnose yourself, if you suspect you are suffering from BPD or Bipolar, make an appointment to see your doctor.

  • @mickey0667 Did you even watch the video? I'm sorry you had a bad experience with someone with mental illness (this is always the case with comments like yours), but not everyone is like that. Yes, some people do go too far, and they do need help. But poor impulse control is treatable. No, personality disorders are not an EXCUSE for bad behaviors, but they do contribute to the behaviors in some people, it's an illness. You need to get educated before stereotyping everyone like that.

  • @DeepWater92 Yes, people who are bipolar can SI, obviously. But its not seen as a symptom of bipolar when it is diagnosed. SI would generally be seen as a symptom of an underlying problem such as depression OR Borderline. You can have, and usually do have, multiple diagnoses when you've got a mood disorder. I'm sorry I couldn't go further into detail, its a lot of pressure getting all the info I can into 10 minutes.

  • your videos are awesome.its great that you are willing to help others.

  • Do they use their temper & anger as a weapon to hurt others on purpose ?

  • I tend to simplify it down to bpd being a less severe form of bipolar mixed with severe depression

  • im bi polar ,ex had borderline and her illness i would say more extreme with me where she only sees black or white good or bad and impulses in her brain would restrain, extreme emotional where i had to walk away and wonder why wtf?once a borderline gets it fixtated that either good or bad once they portray you as bad in my opinion in a relationship will more then likely not work, just wanted to share thanks,i love you dont leave me,better off without,it can be very scary god bless

  • @gayproud1

Spoken just like the psycho you are. Can't be civil to anyone. Must be hateful and vengeful and jealous especially of your intimate partner. Go to hell and don't come back.

  • It is so hard having borderline. U just want relationships but they seem to go wrong and all i want is one when i am not lied to or thinking they r cheating on me! I am like the women borderline!
