@TheAbsol123 Sauron could give all the power he wanted to the Witch-King, but I don't see him do that, because he would've lost it. Also, he still could grow in power: how else could he take form again without possessing the Ring?

Since when could Saruman command the Witch-King? Only one who mastered the One, or held the Ring that was given to him could command him. Just being more powerful isn't nearly enough.

A staff is rather a symbol of an Istar, not his source of power.

@TheAbsol123 Where did you prove me wrong? You just gave an example of only three (and actually, five retreated because of the light), not all Nine combined, like Gandalf had to fight at Weathertop.

And about the retreat, Tolkien wrote: "for their Captain was not yet come to challenge the white fire of his foe." Also you're comment isn't right: magic is a part of Gandalf. Take it away, and the Nine wouldn't need to flee. Also, I highly doubt they knew Gandalf's real identity.

@lweedify The Witch King's power is fueled by Sauron a Maiar, Or Lessar being,and since he can no longer grow in power from being shut off by the Valar,He can only give the witch king half of his,Your not forgetting that all of his power was in the one ring,His will and Malice,Ergo the Witch King even did as Sauraman commanded because Sauraman was more Powerful,Now that Gandalf broke Sauramans staff, The Witch King could never break Gandalf's staff the one who broke his masters.
