U.S. Rep. Diana DeGette (D-CO) takes the House floor to decry the obsessive partisanship of not accepting a bipartisan compromise to extend the payroll tax cut in order to risk a tax hike on 160 million Americans. Days after 89 Senators agreed to extend the payroll tax cut and critical unemployment benefits, House leadership refused to allow an up-or-down vote on this responsible package.
Demagogueing ? Really ? Guess those Tea Baggers will be squealing with glee at the thought of those little kiddo's not getting anything under the tree :) $1000, what every month ? If $90 is enough to effect peoples lives so greatly maybe Congress just has WAY too much power. They certainly seem to need WAY more money EVERY YEAR !!
