In flamenco that step the man is doing is actually called "picado." The gypsies that brought flamenco into the south of spain (it never really made a mark on the north, or the celtic stronghold) originated in india, maybe even close to pakistan, although it picked up influences from every place the gypsies visited along the way which included Egypt. Most flamencologists and students of the Rom agree with that.

I think it's interesting that the indigenous people of the island the Spanish called Hispaniola (and who were exterminated) were described by contemporary Spaniards as light skinned.
While there is strong evidence for Africans travelling across the Atlantic in ancient time (Olmecs), the Spanish accounts of the original inhabitants of Hispaniola indicate Atlantic crossing by either early Amazigh or closely related predecessors too.

Very true. The Mediterraneans were the ones who established most of the world's civilizations. All Europeans have Mediterranean blood (as well as Cro Magnon), and n. African Amazigh have both as well.
