How did you get it to play the sound while you were recording?

@moose875 6:42, make sure you have speakers ticked then in audacity under preferences, make sure you playback via your speakers.

i found if you make boost 0 and sound lvl 1 with sound all the way up on ipod it sounds the best

Hey man, i have a big question and a little bit of an issue here :L Okay, I made my AUX cable by myself, and its a bit shuddery, so when i record from my ipod onto audacity, its really bad quality, like its being recorded from a microphone directly, could this be due to the fact that I do not have a proper aux? And also, my correct speakers are chosen, but it doesnt let me hear when i am recording, and its all checked etc... :[ btw great video, its my fault its not working well for me. any help?
