In my case, it was a matter literally of survival. In 2005, when I finally understood after 5 decades of unresolved TS-induced hell, it was to either put a 9mm hollow point round through my head or to Transition.

Not much of a solution set, it it - ?

I lost everything, including a 12 year wonderful marriage, except for my job. But what the hell choice did I have, sweetie?

Trans women are afraid of transition because it's part of our survival to keep our secret, in this day and age men and even women oppress us due to ignorance. Being TS in this world is a vulnerability, dangerous, in many of our minds and cisgendered women's minds, some secrets are much safer remaining secret.
