Tom Welling growing up into Christopher Reeve. Honestly, I thought Brandon Routh looked too young to take the role, but he did a very good job playing the part as well. What really bugs me, on a personal level, is that Superman's costume never seems to work on live actors. I dunno, they just all seem to skinny... especially Routh... but that's just my opinion.

@JOKAWILD26 okay okay. I said he had the voice. meaning that he had qualities not only physically about him that mad him good to play superman. Also my comment wasn't pointing out ALL there was about Reeves that made him a good choice. I was seemly picking out at least one quality from each actor that have played Superman that was good for the character. I'm a fan of Reeves and not just his acting as superman.

@PhillyGirl1 what are u talking about,, Christopher reeves didnt just have the face,, he also had the hair and the body,, christopher reeves was a big built man,, and when he wore that superman suit,, he LOOKED just like the superman from the comics,, which is why,, all animation of superman to this day,, usually takes the christopher reeves look, to model it after

There are two more actors..who also played "Superman/Clark Kent"..Messers:Bob Holiday and Dave Wilson.They played the roles in the Broadway stage and ABC TV productions of"It's A Bird,It's A Plane,It's Superman"The Musical.

George had the chin. Christopher had the voice, Dean had the hair, Tom had the body. All pretty much had the charm.
