By any standard, Il Guarany is a masterpiece! Why the Met ignores great operas such as Guarany in favor of newly composed works devoid of a single memorable melody is something that puzzles me. This opera would have great appeal to Met audiences.

Increíble! A su edad sigue siendo un ejemplo de gran cantante. Tuve el placer de oirlo y verlo en Romeo et Juliette, Werther, Ballo in maschera y Mefistófele. Un grande en escena además.
