@MorriganAtwood They found out what educators and nutritional blokes found. Being informed does not make behavioral changes. Sure the fool knows that he'll work harder in the long run without a proper education or the glutton that they're going to die of diabetes, but they knew the risks and ought to leave them to their folly, eh? I see it more as experimenting to ensure that the species survive, least those who want a second chance. It's what humans do, and every little bit helps.

@neoyamaneko The point is they don't keep it to themselves. Either cause they can't or won't is not the issue, it's just some people are hurt cause they lost someone dear and now want to help to make up for their silence. peeps are weird like that and I consider it a greater good cause the alternative would be similar to leaving a lil gal who was hit by a car in the middle of a bloody street. They know smokers are hurt, unlike those allowing them to accept their fate, they're lending a hand

@Koerais kk mak, and be thankful cause you get to take your closest with ya. Your children will know that all life ends in death and you helped them reach that end just a bit quicker.

What the Truth campaign doesn't realize or fails to care about is that most people are quite aware of the health-related risks smokers take, just as we're aware of the risks taken when drinking heavily. This is why their ads have largely gone from attempting to be informative to encouraging people to disrespect smokers for their personal choice. It's what bullies do.

Haha! :p

@Koerais I like that I'm gonna use that sometime.

LMFAO! That is the funniest anti-smoking ad i've ever seen XD

I like the general idea of the Truth commercials, but I suppose if you really don't want to change your ways they could get annoying.

CIGARETTE SMOKE DOES NOT KILL!
(The anti smoking society does!)
Truth ads are some of the most annoying ads ever....and I don't even smoke!
The principle of the thing is even more annoying: A perfect stranger is chastising a person's life choice. As long as the person keeps their habit to themselves or does it in places where people accept the risks, then it's all kool and the gang.
