The Kahekili Highway - Maui

The Kahekili Highway is North out of Kahului - take Route 340. On the map, it "ends" about a mile past Waihee Beach Park...but you can drive all the way around the northern end of Maui to Lahaina. Stop for a beautiful sunset at Kapalua or someplace North of Lahaina on Route 30. After driving this very narrow beautiful "highway", the two lane Hana Highway (East of Kahului) is not very difficult.

I agree. Don't DARE drive this. I wouldn't even trick my worst enemy into driving this road. I made the mistake of being too curious. I barely fit the SUV in some parts (on the edge of cliffs). Hana is a freeway compared to this drive.

Holey FAWCK this was completely insane...I took it without knowing what it was and got STUCK on the side of a hill and had to back out over a quarter of a mile while other cars almost went over the edge...I agree its pretty but MAN don't drive it!!
