  • From the sound of this bill, I personally agree, don't blame the bill, blame the 1000's of people that let their animals breed unconditionally, willy nilly, blame the people that abuse their animals. these are the people that are making this bill a reality, if we all took responsibility, and did the right thing by de-sexing and looking after them, then this bill may have never come in to Existence blame the abusers not the law makers

  • We have similair laws in Australia. It cost heaps to register an undesexed dog and is illigal to buy a cat that isnt desexed unless you are a registered breeder. It's fantastic. We have less strays and less kitens/puppies dumped.

  • @LDC454 That is what i am thinking but it is so good to hear from someone in the field who has been there..thanks

  • @TheChoujinVirus Basically YES dont have the money, dont own an animal FULL STOP!.....

  • @vonedel

oh? so you're saying that only people who can afford those are allowed to have pets?

  • @Alishondra

how? If it's underground, it won't hurt them. just like how AETA won't stop the ALF from doing their terrorism

  • @qnwoof where the hell do you live?!??! i follow a few local shelters in the area and soo many potential good pets are put down because not enough people want them. rescues in my area are constantly struggling to take animals out of the shelters because where i live, we are over flowing. if only the rest of the world was like where you lived!

  • Im so glad this didnt happen in england

  • I am in animal rescue and have been for quite some time. I know that spaying and neutering pets can save lives, but the fact is that mandatory spay and neuter laws just don't work. There are people who only have one cat or one dog who are on a fixxed income and can't afford to get it done and as a result, would get fined and the animal impounded and then murdered in the shelters. If you want to help the pet population, then offer free or low cost spay/neuters and not mandatory S/N laws.

  • @doglovingal I totally agree with you. This bill also helps to stop that underground breeding of sick and disformed dogs.

  • Why would it get rid of: Pets like buddy ??
