how do you keep you parot on the cage untill you call him? My parrot just flys to me the second i turn around.
-
@Xerip the guy didnt teach the parrot to fly downward

We do clip the wings of our parrots.. but we also take them outside. The freelight looks so fantastic but with the birds in our fields like hawks freelight would not be our thing...
-
what do they feed him?

Looking forward to seeing some video! Thanks for sharing your success with us!

It's easier to start when they are at the age they would naturally be fledging in the wild - however, it's all about how much they understand the recall training that decides if they are ready to go outdoors.

Hey, i'm planning on getting a african grey as well,
how old should it be for me to take it outside and train it??
This is a horrible thing to do--the bird can very easily fly away from you. Remember what happened to Tui?

There are risks to keeping your bird clipped and in the house and there are risks to doing freeflight. It's up to you to weigh the risks for yourself.
This type of thing takes A LOT of training and should not be attempted without consulting a professional.
