No. It's not an MMO (Massively Multiplayer Online) game. In fact, there's no multiplayer feature at all.
Best left without it, though. You could imagine the immense lag it would create! With thousands of people on the same server, each with at least 40 sims to play with. Also, the world in the game is so small, that not even 100 people would fit in! It would be overcrowded, and infinitely laggy!

If you want multiplayer Sims-experience, try The Sims Onl... oops, that game's servers have been shut down. Sorry, you're out of luck.
No offence, but there's no other Sims online games available that permits multiplayer experience. It just didn't score them a hit (them being EA Games). So if you want a Sims game with multiplayer feature, just forget about it. The only game, The Sims Online, has been shut down, and is unplayable. Even I were a little shocked...
