Skadie (12) and Modi (11) have been a pair for over 11 years. They have their moments where Skadie loves to mother Modi and Modi lets her mother him! In the past 10 years I have never had the chance to film them, the second my wife or I move for the camera, they stop and act like nothing happened. This seesion is the best one I have ever caught on film.

She seems to have lived pretty long for a Lundie, what were you feeding her, and did she have the GI problems they typically have? So lucky that she got to live such a long (and seemingly quite happy) life. She obviously had very loving owners :)

I lost my Lunde last week, he was only 5 :-( We had battled with IL for the last 3 years, eventually it took him. I envy you in that Skadie passed away in the age of 13.
Have to admin, burst into tears when i watch this. They are most amazing doggies ever!

@didiliuus yes this still brings tears to my eyes too... modi will be 14 in a month. i wish i could tell you there was a trick to getting them to old age... but it just happened.. sorry for your loss, its a heart break breed...

Yes skadie passed away in April of 2010 at 13.3 years. Thats a very good age for a lundie. She had several bouts of IL over her life they started after 5 years of age. I fed them both Hund N Flocken kibble for many years then after IL i switched them to ZD ultra. They also got Wysong wet food, but after the IL they got AVo Derm wet. modi has a hard time keeping food down so we have taken to feed him 4 small meals a day. Modi had a bout of IL when he was 3, but has been on pred 4ever he is 13.5
