His was an important voice when it was very brave to stand up to the patriot-police bullies in the media, shop floor and political circles of DC circa 2002-2006, not exactly ancient history Americans - think!

@MrEatonbeaver He WAS the mastermind behind the wrong-doing...not asked. It was only after the heat was on, he decided to jump out of the fire and hang his colleagues. Even G. Gordon Liddy says all of his discussions were with Dean....nobody else. Dean was a weasel then, and still is today. He's just trying to vindicate himself before for legacy purposes before he's dead and gone from this Earth. Too little, too late.

@ScottLanter He's heavy on criticizing neo-cons, and he was asked to mastermind the wrong doing which led to outing the assholes. I admire his character just as I do McClellan's, Bremmer,s, Clarke's, Larry Wilkerson's, and to some extent, Powell.

@ScottLanter He claims to be a Goldwater conservative which he claims to be nearly extinct. For a point of reference, Hillary Clinton also used to be a Goldwater Conservative.

now dean says that there are people being killed now as if to say nixon was moderate. Tell that to the peopel killed and wounded by bombs and bullets in vietnam, a war nixon said he would end, but then fought harder. The CIA and FBI was dirty as rags and doing dirty deeds while nixon was in there to. They all stink at the top of the heap.

Funny how John Dean claims to be a conservative. Yet, he spends the majority of his time criticizing conservatives. However, Dean should know about wrongdoing. After all, he was a mastermind of wrongdoing in Watergate during the Nixon administration. And to show how good of a friend he can be, Dean also ratted out his friends and colleagues, in the end. That speaks volumes of this man's character.
