WDTV Live Networking vs Ext3-Boot

Comparing the network navigation of the WDTV v1 running ext3-Boot vs the new WDTV2 (Live).

Notice the WDTV Live doesn't catch all four of my network shares, it leaves off "usenet" for some reason. Additionally there are a lot more button-presses required to get to the same place compared to ext3-boot.

hi how do you get a homebrew update to install, I downloaded a Homebrew & unzipped it and put it to my WD TV live Hard drive and it would not update. ?

Can I ask you something....I got a WD TV for 40 bucks new.... but the thing is its the v1 of the WD TV without ethernet port...can I watch youtube on it with a custom firmware or not?

wdtv 2 generation o firmware 1.1.77 & sync sound issue H264 mkv , trying to downgrade the firmware to 1.1.75 is very hard .some have figured out how. I need some one to make a video & teach us how

A tutorial on how to pit ext3-boot on would be great. I'm so afraid of bricking my box. None of the forums have simple step by step guides for total beginners.

It has problems logging onto Windows 7 accounts (I'm guessing you're using W7). You'll have to use a workaround. Search Google for WDTV Live login problems.

dude can u plz help me out my westren digital live hd every time i try to log into network share is asking me for my account and password i have try my everything i don't know what account is asking for? do u know is it asking for my windows log in account or the registration account?
