@girlio11 Having a dog isn't an "I OWN YOU" experience, and honestly it scares me to hear that people are using his methods. Many of his methods shouldn't even be used by professionals, let alone fans who watch him. If anything it can make your dogs worse off. I train abused and shelter pitties, I never once shown "dominance" over a dog. We aren't wolves, and their wolf ancestors were bred out of them a long time ago so trying to "show dominance" is pointless. I use positive reinforcement.

I love my dog like it's my job and the boss is watching. But I also understand that she is not a person. Sometimes, I have to enforce my dominance over her, often using Cesar's methods--which typically always work, by the way. It doesn't make me abusive, negligent, intimidating or whatever else you wackjobs are calling it. And to say so is insulting. All I want for my little girl is for her to be happy and healthy, and if that means putting my foot down occasionally then I will.
