  • and by the way does that sx strat have the right fender body dimensions?

  • @ralfcaetano Yes, most likely. This guitar is a few years old, but I doubt things have changed. The fit here isn't PERFECT, but you have to bear in mind that this the Jagmaster neck is unique. I'd say with a good degree of certainty that a strat neck would bolt on just fine.

  • @ralfcaetano I think so. I know their LPs are a bit wonky, but I think the body is a match. I think the copyright issue comes with headstock design, not body shape so it's probably right. I don't have any Fender/Squire strats to compare it to, but it looks correct, right? :)

  • ok, so to get this straight... that is a neck from the 25.5 length jagmast or what?

you can't just throw a 24in scale neck on a guitar made for 25.5 scale... there's not enough room for adjusting far enough to compensate the 1 1/2 inch loss in total nut to bridge length.

    or am i wrong?

  • You are wrong.

It's a conversion neck from a Jagmaster II. The Jagmaster IIs used the same bodies as the full-scale Jagmasters. To be more "Vista-series-like" they slapped CONVERSION necks on the current line of Jagmasters to make them a modified short scale. It's not exactly 24", but it's very close. Bridge adjustments FTW!

  • so by that rationale, a guy could throw any strat or tele neck on a jagmaster and use it, as long as the neck pocket fits?

  • Yep, with some bridge saddle adjustments, any 25.5" neck (as long as it'll bolt in) should work. I used to have a Squier Telecaster neck on it at one point, but the tele sounded like crap with the Jagmaster neck. The current owner of this guitar also put a telecaster neck on it. :)

  • are you saying that the sx neck pocket could fit a fender neck?

  • anyway, love the look of the headstock

  • Dudes, I replaced my old Vantage strat neck with Jagmaster China made neck. In the beginning it was a bit tough to get into the right tuning, as the length was short by few inches (i dont bother to check on the length difference, but theyre both of 21 frets. The problem was with Low E string, once I pressed on any frets, the tuning seemed so wrong. Even my tech refused to do it. After I did my own intonantion on the neck adjustments, neck setting & all, hey i got a highly enjoyable guitar.

  • @dinosauria55 do you know if a 24'' scale lenght jagmaster conversion neck could fit on fender jaguar?

  • camera is reversed, he's a right handed player
