Usually you don't have anything to worry about with bands that are close to the hand. So long as you don't make the shooting plane to close or even overlapping by pointing the slingshot to much, you should be okay.
But just to be sure, use real light bands and real light ammo until you get used to it.
It's really just a matter of practice, and then the confidence that will give you

@wdhmjm Maybe your holding it too close? try a longer band because most commercial slingshot bands (barnnetts, daisy, ect) are not for full butterfly

great video, what bands are you using, do they come with the slingshot, they look a bit like bicycle inner tubes cut up, though theyre really crap usually

Those bands are made from exercise bands "theraband black".

I'm left Eye dominant and right handed...But I have a ps1 pocket shooter made by A+ slingshots....Any suggestions on how I should shoot? Like you just opposite cause I'm left eye dominant?

First, you'll want to make sure your bands are even in length. If the bottom band is even slightly shorter than the top band, it can contribute to shooting low.
Next, if that's not the problem, either your bands are to weak or your ammo is to heavy.
