@ArthurAllblack I'll be honest, I thought skin head had another meaning before I discovered ska

The Aggrolites fall under the original skinhead group. Skinhead reggae is more or less synonymous with the less controversial names "early" or "classic" reggae. This was after the Ska/Rocksteady period and before the Roots Reggae period, which brought in Rastafarian and Afrocentric elements. Aggrolites even stated they intentionally write music to sound like Reggae from 1969-1971, in their opinion the most experimental, interesting, and overall best kind of reggae. I think it's pretty cool.

in case anyone needs reminding, the original skinheads were non-political and part of the Ska/Reggae subculture in England in the late 60s and early 70s. The white power skinheads did not come until at least a decade later, then followed by the reaction to them called skinheads against racial prejudice (SHARPs). It's really that simple.

???

oh and the jamaican equivalent to a skinhead would be a Rudeboy. We owe much of our culture to them.

why the hell is there so much bickering about what a skinhead is? wikipedia spells it out very well for you.

If anyone can name all the bands in this video i'll give them a cookie. :)

These guys were freaking amazing at warped, everybody danced the whole show. I was sad they didn't play this song though.
Yeah, why the fuck did I get a -6?
I swear, some people just don't have a sense of humor. I think it's from people who haven't a clue on what being a real skinhead is all about.
Think about it, who better to turn to about rare and obscure Jamaican music than a skinhead? How many people other than skinheads and aficionados know about ska, rocksteady and reggae? They single-handedly made it popular in England in 69. There's an entire genre called "Skinhead Reggae".
So yes, it does help!

@chonchon812 Why don't you ignore your own ignorance and actually do some research. I will be fully impressed if you read up about skinhead culture on Wikipedia, listened to some songs from Trojan Records, then write back with your opinion on what you have discovered. Please show me that you are open-minded enough to do that, because for the moment you have absolutely no idea what this subject is about and is speaking on a bias based on very limited information.
