So you made this using OpenGL? Hence the OpenGL keyword? It's really cool though, nice idea. Also, easy on the eyes. How do I get my hands on it?
I'm new to programming, just finished my first C++ book and looking into OpenGL. Would you say OpenGL is good for games and 3D character movement? I kinda want to make a character and have him do stuff on my desktop. Would you know anything about that sort of thing?

I find OpenGL much more approachable than DirectX although I guess DX is a better choice if developing primarily for Windows (or so I hear). Neither help with high level stuff like animation or importing models from a 3D app so you could instead look into some free 3D engines out there (Ogre etc.), if you don't feel like rolling your own.
