Checking out the Smith & Wesson Model 22A .22 lr pistol. And we put some rounds through it too, of course.

It doesn't appear to be as accurate as the base model Ruger Mark 3 that you see in the background, but it's also about 30 bucks less and comes ready for rail attachments right out of the box.

  • The 22A is not "heavy" ; I own the 7 inch barrel version and its no heavier than the 5 1/2 inch target barrel Ruger Mk III. The 22A sights could use some white paint , but they work fine, and the rear sight is fully adjustable for height and windage. I'm an average shooter and I get excellent accuracy at 25 yards. The gun cycles bulk ammunition flawlessly. The grips are comfortable but may be a little large for smaller hands. It takes apart much easier than a Ruger. A great value at $250!

  • @paperback10 He's become pretty happy with it. He put the red dot on it shortly after this video and just recently upgraded to a Bullseye style grip. He was probably a little more critical than usual because the gun was shared with someone else until he adopted it to practice for conventional Bullseye competition. From what I've seen it will eat anything you give it, and he's gotten some very nice scores with it.

  • heavy for you? don't like the sights? why the F did you buy it??

  • @threelittleniglets LOL, why does this video get some people so upset? It's not me or my gun in the video, its my friend, but I'll try to answer for him. The poor sight didn't matter, it comes pre-railed and happily accepted a red dot. Why "the f" did he buy it? Compromise I guess. His wife is a shooter too and this is what worked for both of them. Oh, and thanks for the laugh. I love the irony that you chose that username, but refrained from using the word "fuck". Thanks for sparing us.
