you missed the point.the point is not the sushi.the chinese can make sushi as much as they want and even say it's better than the japanese.the point here is the LOGO of the japanese restaurant.they copied the logo,to pretend it's the real "GENKI SUSHI" restaurant.because the image of japanese product in china is high quality product.the chinese can make a car,but cannot call it "toyota"

Chinese people run a various number of different countries' cuisines such as Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Italia, France, etc. However, those taste exactly like dim sum...LOL Can't get rid of the 'Chinese thing' in those dishes

the original company must have obtained a trademark therefore the chinese obvious had to ask permission before replicating it. Thats the law. its the same as mcdonalds in asia.
