James Dymond - Make a Trance track like Daniel Kandi in FL Studio

Video upload of a recent track I created: Make a Trance track like Daniel Kandi in FL Studio.

Please do not take this seriously, I called it this as it's my interpretation of a Kandi styled track - some of you may disagree, but hey, it was a bit of fun and everyone is entitled to their own opinion :)

The main purpose of this video is to show that FL Studio isn't just an unprofessional piece of equipment, but infact a very powerful DAW - that with the right tools, can be amazing! I've used Logic Pro, Cubase and Ableton Live, personally I find FL Studio the easiest to navigate and to get my ideas down quickly!

I've tried to show you as much as I can in this video, but I'm not going to reveal all of my secrets and specific sounds I use - that's for you to work out :P

Percussion is made up of single samples and loops, the vox hits and synth hits are also single samples. The rest of the sounds are all from Softsynths - including Sylenth 1, Zeta, Zebra, V-Station, Nexus, Trilogy and a few Power Synths. The lead sound was mixed with 2 instances of Sylenth 1, each on their own mixer channel and EQ bussed to a group channel. Basslines are also bussed to a group channel, the Bass Bus, which are then routed to the Kick&Bass bus... Compression and EQ are applied as where needed - parallel compression is also used on the Kick&Bass Bus as well as the Perc Bus mixed with the Kick drum (if that makes any sense to you at all! :P) You can see this on the mixer called Lead Bus, Bass Bus, Kick&Bass Bus and Para 1 & Para 2 for the parellel compression.

Don't use nexus.. sounds great otherwise... nexus = all pre-made tools its like (noob mode) because all the sounds are pre-made... but other than that man sounds great i'm NOT bashing you just trying to discourage people from using nexus because its like ( no skill )

@DJFrosted Nexus is good in my opinion, I don't use it that much but there was only one instance in this track which was the pads. But what you say there, I don't generally make sounds only use presets so saying that using presets on Sylenth and Zebra is exactly the same as using the built in sounds on Nexus!

@Dymond200 i appreciate your reply however i DO NOT use any sort of preset i make my own sounds... i admit i used to use presets when i was unaware on how to create my own sounds but the was a LONG time ago... also if you are referign to my uploaded videos most of the tracks were released WAYYYY before they were uploaded here....i make my own sounds in sylenth1.... in nexus they are just premade sounds in sylenth1 you can make your owna nd change exsistign ones
