Norfolk Eagle Nest MOM Before EASTER/BUDDY Got Rescued!

My little tribute to Mom Norfolk to some music. This was recorded moments before the climb up the tree to retrieve the little eaglet and have his growth examined. Norfolk Eagles Nest is in Virginia and this was the only one of 5 eggs to hatch. Easter/Buddy will need surgery and most will not be put back into the nest. We wish him well.

What a beautiful tribute to Mom Norfolk...thank you so much. May she rest in peace, and her 3 eaglets thrive at the Wildlife Center of VA....great to see them again on the cam.

Sadly, this Momma eagle was killed on Tuesday April 25 2011 by an airpane landing at the nearby airport. Her three eaglets, about 6 weeks old, were rescued and are being hand-raised at Wildlife Center in Virginia. Buddy is still there, being deemed unreleasable due to his health issues. God rest your beautiful spirit Mom.

@peggyg111 yeah very sad about this female...this is why I re-posted in some sites....it is my tribute to this mother after her untimely death.

@lsoph9 If this isn't appropriate for your thread, please feel free to delete. Thought you might be interested that they've been able to set up a cam to watch the three eaglets. There is also a moderated discussion board. Ed Clark was on last night as was Reese Lukei. Very interesting and fun. Guess I can't post the direct link, but it's at WVEC dot com.
