  • Yea let's be honest and reasonable and look at factual statistics.... The IOS devices are ranking highest in the market. AppStore+dual core processors? Yea it's only a matter of time.

  • @ATLMember I'd just like to say that the PSP2 had been announced and crushes the iPhone in terms of power and games too.

  • @Airking11 Oh and I'd just like to add that our arguing has consumed 10 pages of comments on this video, perhaps its time to stop. We were originally arguing over which system had superior graphic rendering capability and I still stand by my choice, as GTA Chinatown wars looks and runs infinitely better on PSP, and every PSP game I've played has way better graphics than iPhone, also the numbers don't lie, and PSP has benched better, so it's really more of fact than argument.

  • @Airking11 I like debating this stuff, but your clearly don't know what your saying, for example you said "do you realise the ipod touch 4g has a higher graphics card and more ram and the a4 chip makes it a super fast processor" I'd just like you to reread that sentence and realize how flawed it is. I'd also like to add that the PSP is not some treasured possession of mine, I've owned it for a couple of months, I like my DS lite most, and my real intense gaming is done on PC.

  • @Airking11 ug... seriously, you're not listening to me and you really don't know what your talking about "higher graphics card" care to define that? I don't suppose you saw my comment detailing the performance of both graphics processors. This isn't a black and white argument and you really don't understand that. Also you don't know nearly enough about technology to make intelligent points, for example "the a4 chip makes it a super fast processor." the A4 chip is the processor...

  • @ATLMember you should know that having a higher graphics card, more ram,cpu and higher processor is more important then what you are bragging about with the psp, the only good psp is the GO, because going to a actual store to get one game and having alot of umds is a pain, I give sony credit for the psp go, it's pretty affordable now and is not that bad, I'm not saying psp sucks, I am just saying that ipod touch 4g is the better portable gaming device, did you even see dead space on it yet?

  • @ATLMember do you realise the ipod touch 4g has a higher graphics card and more ram and the a4 chip makes it a super fast processor, they may be copies but they are GOOD copies, gameloft is trying to bring games like halo and uncharted to the appstore and they are really good copies, it's not their fault that there is no actual halo or uncharted ect in the appstore, and they do have splinter cell conviction and prince of persia warrior within AND the right to use the nfl logo, and ea does good

  • @Airking11 The benchmarks show that the PSP is capable of pushing more polygons and has better fill rate, considering how much lower res the PSP screen is than the iPhone, that fact puts the iPhone at somewhat of a disadvantage. For me, the iPhone is worthless as a gaming system because it has no good games, just uninspired Gameloft rip offs. The PSP is alright, but I will be selling it as I could just game on my computer, which is the best experience of all. DS is the winner in handhelds.

  • @Airking11 Here are some other, more relevant specifications regarding the GPU benchmarks.

    PSP

Vertex Performance (triangles per second): 33 Million

Fill rate (pixels per second) :664 Million

    iPhone 4/3GS

    Vertex Performance: 28 Million

    Fill Rate: 500 Million

What is more powerful is not a black and white argument, the iPhone's powerVR chip is newer and therefor supports better APIs. The iPhone also has the processor advantage, though its unclear if that really matters.

  • @Airking11 Congrats man, you've been arguing about power with me the whole time and it took you that long to look up the specs. Unfortunately, you like every 12 year old, have missed the point of them, so I'll explain. The processor in the iPhone is much faster as you've likely noticed (running about 800 MHZ, under-clocked from 1 GHZ in iPhone 4) there is also more RAM. This is because iPhone runs a full OS, unlike the PSPs. Now lets talk about GPU, as that is what matters in our argument.
