  • i did a report about her

  • Freedom is about the right to choose, back then you had to ask yourself, once you had your Freedom, what would you do with that Freedom? Turn a blind eye to the suffering of the Slaves and do nothing? or take a stand and say this is wrong and it has to stop?

  • After 1850 it wasn't enough just to get across the Mason-Dixon Line, the Fugitive Slave Act of 1850 gave Slave Owners and Bounty Hunters the right to go north and reclaim Runaway Slaves and they had Federal Backing after that law was passed, you weren't really Free until you got to Canada

  • @JaYCuB777 Yeah cause Frederick Douglass was already a free man by 1850.Though he was walking on thin ice because he was also a conductor in New York

  • I love hat they thought she was a man

  • I love studying the life of Harret Tubman. In chlldhood I had the desire to turn back time and join her. In a way, its sad that her story is the one almost overly used to describe the underground railroad. So many more people were part of the process. Brave souls traveled up north in search for their God given right of freedom. I hope we continue teaching the future generations about this period of our past as an example of how easliy humanity can accept evil. May we never return!

  • what is the name of the song that's being sung at 3:19 and who recorded it?

  • God bless Harriet Tubman. And her dad.
