montreal's a great city. the issue isn't whether it's the best. the issue is whether it's the best for you. Myself? My favourite place in the world is a bay on lake memphremagog. i care less for night life etc for 24/7 living. I want mountains and lake, trees and clean air. I'll do your shows, restaurants etc once in a while. But for day in day out - memphremagog is my heaven.

I wouldn't say Montreal is the best city in the world. You can't really comment unless you have been to every city in the world. Why do you think everyone thinks thier city is the best? Because they know their city more than anywhere. I had never heard of montreal untill 2 weeks ago and i'm nearly 20. It's better than toronto right enough. Toronto doesn't seem to look green at all. Montreal in June for me.

You're right, I haven't been to EVERY city in the world, but I've been to many of them. Very few cities will you feel safe walking down a dark alley at 4am, or find everyone holding the door open for the next person. These kinds of things happen all the time. THEN add in all the amazing things to do, and beautiful scenery. Sure it's my opinion, but we ARE the Boardwalk of the World Monopoly game lol

There was people in Toronto peeing on the fuckin sidewalk at night! what's do great about Toronto's nightlife? The circle? u have to get out of your car when you visit a city mister bloke man. Crescent St, Ste-Catherine, St-Denis and St-Laurent are crowded 24/h and there is so many bars ans people that it's hard to choose. We have some of the Classiest Strip clubs in America, .. Toronto is paved with douchebags and idiots.. .. admire your penis shaped CN tower and your purple buildings..

I will partially agree with the poster: So far I like London and Montreal the best. But I think it all depends on what you're into. Montreal has a kind of soul to it that I didn't see anywhere else. The longer one stays around it, the more a certain something sinks in that I can't name exactly. In any case, who knows, I may find a better city, but Montreal has a quirky way about it that i think makes it as special as any of the 1,000+ cities and towns I've been around.
