Segway has no instant brakes so only an idiot would drive it near the edge of a cliff. 3. Hundreds of cars have been driven off cliffs by accident, does that make the car's invention any less important?

@areacable thank you for the correction. James William "Jimi" Heselden, who purchased Segway Inc. in December 2009, died September 26, 2010 from accidentally driving his Segway off a cliff and into a river while inspecting the grounds at his West Yorkshire estate.

I still think the Segway was over hyped as a revolution in transportation. I have not personally seen one being used since the first year they were introduced. I do not stay home everyday either, I travel the Northeast USA.
