I am a convert, Stanton STR8-150 is my setup. Bye-Bye to Technics SL1210 ! I stopped DJing for approximately 12 years due to commitments in life. However I managed to get a few hours to spare in the week, therefore I couldnt help myself as I had to start DJing again one more time! I got my new DJ set-up which are by Stanton. Unusual as it may seem for people that know me as a DJ because I usually would go for Technics or Vestax. However, I must say these decks are awesome! They are great for freestyling. Anyway, here is a demo of what they can do. Sorry about the sound quality as there was no mic input on my camcorder. DJ DTROY...

  • Are you applying a flanger effect to the input of your scratch deck?

  • @ruslanio. No, its the sample. I suppose you could.

  • Am I the only one who thinks his scratching is bad???? Not saying you suck. You obviously have your transformers down. But no PATTERN.

  • @djaward

I agree that my scratching is bad as I have been away for too long and have been trying to get myself back into scratching, however the video has not done it much justice as the sound quality is also bad due to camcorder, nothing to do with transformers or gain on mixer or amp. When you say pattern I think you mean 'rhythm'. Hey, can you scratch? I would like to see some of your videos.

  • Hey thats some mighty impressive scratching there, do you think you could do that with a 20PR?? :D!!

In all honesty I was kinda shocked at how fast you could scratch - Big Up Troy - might be looking for some mix tapes or MP3's or USBs or...etc

  • Lol, If only the 20PR was as simple as that! You know that was designed badly, by a bad engineer or a plonker! I will definately be doing some mix tapes once my hard drive has been transferred.

    DJ DTROY. Peace out MC!
