VMware Fusion 3 Windows 7 Performance on Apple Mac computer - Virtual Machine

This video will show you realtime performance of Windows 7 running as a virtual machine on a Apple MacBook under VMware Fusion 3. The mac I'm using in this screen capture is a 2Ghz Core 2 Duo with 4GB of ram. It's a 2008 model MacBook. If you're running anything newer then expect your VMware Virtual machine to fly!

All in all I've very happy to run my machine this way and it basically means there is nothing my Mac can't do. Its also worth noting that you can run other operating systems if you wish in this way.

So, i have vista on my PC, i can just use the option when you run it and it downloads everything from that laptop to the mac? Can you select what it does and doesn't download? Because i just want the os really... and after you do this, can you download files while running the VM and it only save to the VM?

Hey man nice video, As I go to university I can get a free copy of Winodows 7 to download. However it is a .exe file. Can I use this file to set up my virtual machine on my mac? Or do I need a .iso Thanks

@weshakeandbake I'm sure it will work with VM Ware Fusion fine. I've only ever installed using the Windows 7 CD but having said that, it has a Batch file that then calls up the Setup.exe anyway, so I see no reason why it wouldn't work.

When you buy the laptop with vista already installed does it come with the disk? I don't remember it having one... I know my mac did though... I actually just really want to use mods in minecraft but they aren't compatible with mac osx 5.x. So I figured id try putting a vista VM on it. I think I may just pony up the 30 dollars for snow leopard lol I Favorited and liked the video btw
