  • hey when are you going to make all the recordings of the flxible metro C.s 9200s

    BCT Buses?

  • Well i lm only going to upload the ones that sound the best but i can't upload them one behind the other because even if the sound that 6L71TA and V-731 combination sounds awsome and i miss those Flxibles buses like crazy too much uploads of the same buses with the same engine transmission combination one behind the other can get boring real quick but ill upload another one soon.

  • wow...I can finally somewhat re-live my moments on one of the 9200s...last time I rode one was on the 40 from Central Terminal to Galleria...it was 9216 and it was just before the Flxibles retired.

Now how about a recording of the New Flyer 9700s? I heard they are almost all gone as well...too bad because they have the best bus sounds ever in my opinion

  • I got a few of the 9700's recorded but only one and that's bus #9707 sounds decent enough to upload because i manage to record it with the ac not running the rest were recorded with the ac running.BTW BCT Newflyer bus #9707 and BCT Flxible bus #9301 will be ready to be uploaded next Wednesday or Thursday hopefully.

  • My GOD!!!! THIS IS AN EXCELLENT REXCORDING!!! You a lucky man to catch these buses.....

  • You know when i first started recording these buses with the 6L71 engines i used to think these had 6V92TA engines but with a cooler sound from the transmission until one day bacl in 1995 i made a comment to one of the MDT head of maintance about these buses and all he told me that the 1991,92 BCT Flxibles were using an old engine from the 40's and 50's that was at that time trying to make a comeback on transit buses i didn't know it was a modified version of the old GM 6-71N engine.
