Apr. 4 - For the first time in its 25 year history, most of the shelves at the Food Bank's warehouse in New York are barren. A sputtering economy and rising food prices have hiked demand for food aid while food donations have sharply dropped.

  • We are @ a point in time where our hate for one another and lack of proper distribution of wealth has cause very disturbing yet truthful events. Soon people will be killing one another for food, clothes, etc. God help us to stnd tall when all this occurs. Help us be ready and help one another..something people have a hard time doing!

  • if that starts "who gets fed and who does not" will spark WARS and whoever can kill the best will be fed.....can this happen in the USA....I say it will eventually.

  • lol

  • Food riots in the not to distant future on the arise be careful what you say here, the worst is about to come. VERY SOON!

  • Only STARVATION in America should be a topic. Not Hunger.

According to USA Today 64.5% of Americans fat! ! If you dont think so go a go ogle and type in overweight USA #1 is the article.

When you go on a diet it will be necessary for you to be hungry.

If 64.5 % of the people were Hungry in America it would be a good thing. Do you concur?

And HUNGER in America should be the standard for at least 64.5% of Americans long enough for them to lose all that fat they got hanging over their belts

  • Nasty little c*$t, aren't you?

  • Well, we're not all chiselers and freeloaders. Some of us need a helping hand once in awhile. Honestly, work is pretty hard to find right now and if you've got employment, you're very lucky. I hope you never find yourself standing in a food bank line-up because you haven't eaten in a couple of days like me. I know, boo-hoo.

  • Went to my local food bank a month ago because I needed some food but left empty-handed because the shelves were literally bare. Haven't been back since. I'm a 50 year old guy without kids but believe that women and kids come first where the food bank is concerned. I hope things get better because they especially need the food even though I do to.

  • this is so disturbing.....

  • We to are desperate for food at our food bank, Numbers up, donations down...
