Ich weist nicht how you pronounced in Swiss German sounds alot like our typical Bavarian pronunciation which sounds alot like how an American would pronounce as "I Voiz Nit" (sorry i dont know how we actually spell it haha)
-
@Billywask It really depends on the dialect. In Bernese German we say it "I" or "Ih" (however you want to write it).
In some other dialects they pronounce it "ich", whereas the "ch" is that sound you make with the throat, almost like the spanish "j". I think you won't find anyone writing it as "ickh" here in Switzerland but it still might help you to remember the pronounciation.

Danke ! I just spoke regular Deutsch or English in Switzerland last time I visited, probably sounded odd to them, but its all I knew. Im studying in Stuttgart for the summer, so hopefully I will have a chance to visit and try a little Schweizerdeutsche!
