Planting that seed from the peddler will give you a power berry. You have to plant it during Winter though. :P

i know an awesome glitch type thing for wood gathering and this is it go to the area where the spa is then cut all the stumps when you do that wherever your closer to leave by the summit or road to your farm then enter again and... TADA! all stumps are back you can do this forever when you run out of stamina just use the spa :P
