The cultural arm of The United Nations has accepted Palestine as a fully fledged member. It's the first time Palestinians have achieved full status to a UN body. But UNESCO could pay for its decision with a major cut in funding. RT's Daniel Bushell reports.

@vitalodion you have no idea what you are talking about, the GDP of jordan is 0.681 which falls under the high category, iran is 0.702 which is high as well. Israel is 0.888, but i would be surprised if that country would not maintain a high gdp with all the US help it gets. Have you even visited the any arab country? or just showering blows in the air

@vitalodion if muslims were at the forefront of science and innovation in the middle ages then they have the capability to do so even today. In my opinion, the islamic world is in hibernation and once it flexes its muscles (fall of the puppet regimes supported by the US) the past glory of the islamic world will be back.

@vitalodion if that is your mentality then you are in great mistake. This VOTE at the UN is a reminder that the US and israel does not and will not control the whole world. Muslim countries today are poor as they were fed upon by the imperial desires of the white european world. Their wealth was looted and plundered in a most racist crimes humans has ever committed.

@vitalodion The only nation that will be doomed when middle eastern oil runs out is USA. The arabs are well habituated to the desert life of the 40's even today. Nature feeds the arabs while capitalism and greed feeds the american lives.

@vitalodion When king faisal of saudi arabia used oil as a weapon in the 70's kissinger warned him that he would be in trouble when the demand for his oil is reduced. The arab king responded as follows " we come from the desert and have been living on camel dates and milk for centuries... and we can easily go back and live in the desert again"
