  • Have gone through so many videos to find a link to send to my friend for her newborn. I mailed her a carrier and wanted to ensure she knew how to use the mei tai with a newborn! I love it great job.......

  • What brand is the Mei Tai you are using? Because i LOVE the thick cloth straps that can enrobe the baby! MUCH safer that way!

  • Thank you for this video! I was able to carry my newborn around today in target! She LOVED it and even fell asleep in it. (I have an Infantino Ecosash)

  • Thank you so much!! As a FTM, I really wanted to babywear but couldn't find enough information on the types and how to wear them and this helped immensely!

I have one question for you, and that is where did you get your mei tai with those straps? I love the fact that they fan out and the material looks softer than the regular straps. I'd love to get one.

    Thanks again!

  • For ladies looking for a Mei Tai the wide straps are not common on a Mei tai, they are more of a wrap style Mei Tai and look very beautiful I love the carrier. I have only found very plan and borrowing wide straps :( Also it is not recommended to tie a knot on the baby back because stress on the spine and can over straighten the spine before a child is developmentally ready.

  • this is sucha great video. I am in the UK and am waning a sling like yours with the wide shoulder straps. What make is it? I am thinking of making one and wondered how wide the shoulder straps are to open up across the baby like that.

    Great video, thanks!

  • Thank you for this video! I have made and used Mei Tai style carriers for older babies and toddlers, but with a new little one on the way, I wanted to be sure of safe positioning for a newborn. This was very clear.

  • I feel you have done your homework and explain it in great detail...it will help all new moms keep the baby safe by doing it correctly...So many moms think they know how to tie and wear a new born, but they sometimes don't...You say to protect air way and this is very important. You just did a great job on this video..I will probably link it to my website soon :)

  • Thanks- thats really informative!

(I'm a grandma now and interestet in the new ways to carry babys.

I'm german and -25 years ago- using a 'snuggli' for carrying my five children.)
