lol im from Australia and know someone who's stolen like $200 worth of fuel.
It's $1.50 per litre here roughly.
60-70 litres to fill up his car.

More and more gas station attendants will probably force people to pay first before pumping gas.
As gas prices rise to $4 and probably $5 per gallon in the not too distant future, more and more people will consider driving off without paying for gas.
In Michigan, folks who drive off without paying for fuel are prosecuted.
