@katkol1 a zenithal map projection is not a sphere, its a 2-d rendition of a sphere, and as such, I believ it does have boundaries but that seems like im justifying it doesnt it? So lets put it aside and say that its false.
how about the other calculation made in the video? (distance of Nth pole to Mecca/Sth pole to Mecca = 1.618) what's your take on that?

The map used in the calculation is a called an azimuthal or zenithal projection. These projections maintain the direction and angular relationships. So the calculation made is perfectly viable :)
