Actually Optimus was a factory boy named Orion pax, but was destroyed by megaton and rebuilt by the autobot elder and was given the matrix which turned him into a prime and he was given the new name of Optimus. Way to go sounding like a new fan boy playstationtothemax. Being the last decedent of a prime was only in the movies...

thing is though rodimus isnt an offical prime:/ optimus was the last decendant he his rodimus on earth knowing that optimus would have to leave one day and he would die aswell as ironhide ratchet and jazz (bumblebee didnt exist is comics) so optimus new te decepticons would take planet earth and no1 would be their to save the humans so he hid rodimus and gave him a stronger energon source so newish fanboys dont know jack shit.
