I also remember when you actually had to run to the BG entrances in order to get in que. Running across barrens as a low level to que for WSG was somnething different. As disturbing as it might sound, vanilla wow is a "milestone" (of sorts) in my life. It's something I look back on and having the sensation of: "This was worth spending my time on, and boy... I loved it". Never again will I feel this strongly for World of Warcraft. Getting a bit teary eyed from this video, even though it's a game!

As for everyone, the memories are overwhelming. Playing vanilla wow made you feel like you were walking in the world itself. Everything faded except the screen. There was always something to do, but no real goal except for exploring. What danger lies in those lands? How deep does thís dungeon go? The feeling you really were a mage, rogue, warrior wandering around in a dangerous world which was so big, it seemed to have no limits. The world drew you in, and you drew the world in your mind.
