I had the same thing happen to my brand new HST the wheels melted,actually its the plastick dummy disk brakes that melt,I had them melt on the Dummy Powercar.I returned it to my dealer ,which he replaced and its been ok since.

becuase they dont smoke?

i have that train with sound.but i turned it of and the the trains engine was still running and the wheelstarted to melt so i put it out but now it is useles.
