  • Keith Carlock is so much fun to watch playing the drums. I love everything from his set up to his technique. Very very cool video.

  • @CherokeeMusic It matters - and you're right. :-)

  • Not that it matters, but that black backup vocalist is gorgeous.

  • Never underestimate the contribution of the great Keith Carlock. The 2009 band (and the one for 2011 is tops. Herington and Carlock: fabulous.

  • I wasn't a big fan of Jon Herington until seeing this video. I always thought his playing was somewhat stiff and cold, but he smoked this version of Kid Charlemagne. Maybe he realized he needed to the raise the bar with former members (i.e. Michael McDonald, Larry Carlton) being present on the tours.

  • I love the solo at the end of this one.

  • I never thought of using a roll of gaffer tape as a can holder...

  • Slower tempo than other versions ... but really cooks. Herington ... really spun me around with his final turns on the classic Larry C break ... triple hammers to outdo the master!

  • Amother mind blowingly good Steely Dan song performed flawlessly. Keith Carlock kicks this like a train !

  • Brilliant, especially Jon H. knows how to surprise you every time! One of the Dan's best songs.

Actually, you waited a long time after the song was ended, Carlos, they didn't return to the stage for an encore, did they, or what?
