I love this song. I used to sing while playing my guitar at our local open mic. God Bless! Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas. ~Sharon

hmmm... Yes, let's have a big, shitty religious debate in the comment board.
I'm sure that's what people come to Youtube for, and it's not pissing anyone off.
Thats sarcasm. Everyone, shut the fuck up about your religion, or lack thereof.
I can assure you that nobody cares.

Certainly not her best performance. I don't like that baby voice she puts on... She doesn't do that on other performances.

At a February, 2008 concert in Las Vegas, Jewel explained that when she was 18, she was living in a van and did some shoplifting. She was going to take a dress when she looked at her hands and realized that she controlled them. Said Jewel, "I realized I was cheating myself. No matter how you work with your hands your own dignity is up to you."
This is why Jewel Wrote the song

Just simply try to sing along with it... There is so much emotion in these lyrics... hope, despair, sadness, happiness. It is such an amazing collection of words mixed together to be so prophetic and relevent to so many hard times in our lives. For anyone who would believe angles are brought before us to bring us to show us our true path need look no further.
