On January 2,2009, Foreign Secretary David Miliband discussed what Britain is prepared to do to aid the people of DR Congo. The UN is to send an aid convoy to help some of the 250,000 people displaced by recent fighting in DR Congo. Many thousands of people have been displaced by fighting between government forces and rebels, and are in desperate need of food and shelter.
