"Teachable moment?" THEY ARE NOT LEARNING THAT FORCE WITHELD IS OFTEN THE CORRECT CHOICE. When force is needed, it often turns into excessive force.  Minor punishment for these incidents, judges covering for them, and the media repeating candy coated terms for this crap just teaches them, it's ok.

@DaddyLongLegs44 Cops are trained to accept the fact that people are not at their best when they get a call. Handing out a beating because a suspect tries to get away is punishment. It's not part of the cops job to punish. Any offensive move/act against a cop during aprehending a suspect is grounds for the use of force. The amount of force by a cop depends on the situation. Once someone is down and in cuffs, they should NOT be beaten, kicked, or punished further. That's unacceptable.
