  • Where Dis yu get the iso?

  • I loved this version of Windows... I remember Chicago... the first time I used it I was blown away... even though plug and play didnt always work. It took till XP from 95 to make a nice OS, not Windows 7 is coming.

  • @an65001 How so? I see most companies still running Windows XP. I still run XP on majority of my systems. It's been the most reliable for me. It just depends how well you keep up your systems.

  • @halo3productions911 XP is not the all in one solution. It's the all in one failure. (My opinion)

  • @SlickKidDownDaBlock Clear ignorance.

  • @an65001 Yup. It was the mixture of the 9x family's compatibility and the NT family's strong reliability. It's nice that they decided to combine the two. Cut down on owning multiple operating systems for different purposes. Windows XP is your all-in-one solution. Even more so with Windows 7.

  • @halo3productions911 Windows XP takes Windows 2000's kernel, which is rock-solid, and screwed with it. That's the only reaon why it is stable compared to everything except Windows NT4, 2000, and Windows 7.

  • Dayum. Windows Chicago..... Long time ago. Was this what they were going to call it? Or just during production?

  • @ejzllanes96 Actually Windows NT Workstation had the start menu before 95. They built 95 after NT because they thought home users would really benefit from it. So, in a way, 95 is really built off NT. Granted, there was Windows for Workstations but it was pretty much an application. You had to start up MS-DOS and THEN execute Windows for Workgroups.

  • @an65001 I know it's based off opinions, but compared to any other OS, XP was one of the most reliable. I mean 95 wasn't bad. 98 buggy. ME terrible. 2000 solid. XP solid. Vista horrendous (ME v2) Win7 good.

I've always been able to install XP without problems. It's so versatile. That's why majority of companies still run XP (if they're PC).

  • @mabcap No, it took til Windows 2000. XP sucks.

  • @mabcap It is also the first version of windows to have the all known START button and Taskbar. I wonder why it blew away, as you said...
