I have 3 little shitzus, please never ever call them stupid, they are very intelligent, and the unconditional love they give is definitely not a sign of stupidity. If you really love your dog, you should never insult them.

@eventgroup I've never heard a vet say that before. The most common theory is that when dogs do this, it's a sort of a tone-deaf version of singing along, with the purpose being camaraderie. Eh, maybe I'm just not looking in the right places.

lol are you kidding me!!!! you do know your puppy howls because he cant stand that song. it annoys him and he wonders why you dont turn if off when he is asking for you to stop the torture. poor puppy and then he doesnt realize his owner is doing it to him!!!

I have heard it said before that it hurts their ears, but then explain this? When the song has been playing in the distance he runs toward it and not away. Secondly his tail wages and he looks excited, watch the clip you will see he licks my face which is showing affection and getting excited if it was hurting him he wouldn't do that and lastly if I play it very low volume through earphones for example so that it can hardly be heard he comes over to me sits beside me and sings and gets playful

All in all these are not signs of discomfort.
So perhaps Vets don't know as much as they think they know and much of their conclusions are nothing more than guess work & opinion that in time to come will be disproved much like any current medical belief. One minute beans are good for you, next year they will cause cancer!
He shows no sign of not liking it I think his reaction is the best indication of what he makes of it
